How it works:

Submission:
Monday, March 21, 2011 10:00 AM ET - Sunday, April 3, 2011 11:59 PM ET
Participants will be invited to submit nature photographs of the Southwest Florida region, taken since January of 2008, which will be voted on and rated by the public. The photographs should feature nature scenes only, NO PEOPLE SHOULD BE REPRESENTED IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS.

The contest is open to Charlotte, Manatee and Sarasota County residents 18 years of age and older. One entry per household, please.

Entries will be divided into three randomly chosen segments for voting in three primary rounds. The top five winners of each primary round will be eligible to compete in a final round of voting.

Primary Voting:

• Round 1: Mon, Apr 04 2011 12:00 PM ET- Sun, Apr 10 2011 11:59 PMET
• Round 2: Mon, Apr 11 2011 12:00 PM ET- Sun, Apr 17 2011 11:59 PM ET
• Round 3: Mon, Apr 18 2011 12:00 PM ET- Sun, Apr 24 2011 11:59 PM ET



The Top 5 winners from each round advance to the Top 15.




Final Voting (Top 15):
Mon, Apr 25 2011 12:00 PM - Sun, May 01 2011 11:59 PM ET
The Grand Prize Winner and 2 Runners-Up will be determined from this round.




Winners will be announced the week of May 8, 2011.




Prizes:
Grand Prize: $1,000
Runners-Up: Second place will receive receive $250, third place will receive $100.
